Lesslie is a certified
Physician Assistant specializing in Laser and General Surgery at

Physician Assistant in a clinical setting seeing patients independently
as well as First Assistant Surgeon in the Hospital setting.
She assists Dr. Goins in Laser Vein Surgery
and Laser Lipolysis as well as consulting and treating our general
surgery patients in both the Lancaster and Blakeney offices.
She has completed training and
certifications in aesthetic medicine to perform skin consultations for
laser skin procedures, as well as our injectables: Botox, Radiesse and
Juvederm.
Through her multi-disciplinary education
and training, she is able to evaluate and treat patients in all areas
that we at Mid-Carolina Surgery specialize in.

Timothy B.
Jonassen has been the vascular lab technical director at Mid-Carolina
Surgery, Vein and Aesthetic since 2005.
Since that time, he has assisted Dr. Goins in over 300 endovenous
laser and endoluminal radiofrequency surgeries.
He and Dr. Goins have also co-authored three vascular abstracts,
all of which were selected for presentation at the
American College of Phlebology’s 2007
Annual Congress in Tucson, Arizona.
One of
these abstracts,
titled “Interim
report of the first 208 cases of endovenous ablation for saphenous
venous incompetence using the radiofrequency and 1320 nm laser”
was chosen for publication in a 2008 issue of the globally distributed
Phlebology Journal.
Tim came to our
practice with over 9
years of experience in general and vascular ultrasound, including 4
years as a general and vascular ultrasound instructor in Tampa, FL.
As vascular lab
director in Florida, he assisted in over 1,500 surgeries and directed
two of the lab’s vascular accreditation processes by the
Intersocietal Commision for the
Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL). This lab was
one of a few that was nationally recognized and selected by
VNUSâ
Technologies
to conduct follow-up research on the
VNUS Closureâ
Procedure.
During this time he also contributed to two vascular abstracts,
one of which was presented at the
American College of Phlebology’s 2004 Annual Congress.
He is a member of the national
Society for Vascular Ultrasound
and American College of Phlebology.

Kym holds a Bachelors of Science Degree from the University of South Carolina and completed more than 600 hours of study with Carolina Academy – Paul Mitchell Partner School to earn her North Carolina Esthetician License. She did post-graduate training with Sciton Profile Laser Systems performing the most advanced procedures in laser and light-based aesthetic technology.
She has a deep passion for her work in skin rejuvenation and excels at educating her patients about the importance of a skin care regimen. Her extensive training allows her to create a customized treatment and/or maintenance program based on individualized patient needs.
